Discover Colours In The City
This booklet is based on a series of photographs taken in London. The whole process took 26 days. Before the photo shoot each day the author used Liu Yao - a Chinese divination technique from the Western Han Dynasty - to divine the location and colour of the subject to be photographed, and the time of day the picture would be taken.
The methodology for making this booklet brings together Liu Yao and Psychogeography - one of the methods used by the French artist movement the Situationist International in the mid-twentieth century.
This approach is adopted to allow people to put aside their normal navigation of the city, to discover and to open up space to see the city anew - for people to be inspired.
